Barrett were Supervising a Landscaping Detail Trimming a Poplar Tree next to the Southside of the "Bridge of No Return" on the Border in the Truce Village there when the North Korean Army Faggs came across the bridge to the South Korean side and started beating the detail up with axe's and axe handles. Capt. Bonifas an Lt. Barrett were beat to death with axe's and the others attached to the Joint Security Area, "JSA" United Nations Command and Civilian Detail were beatin with axe handles durning this assult. Then after three days of Bullshit of trying to resolve these murders, and Assault on the others attached to Joint Security Area (United Nations Personel), The 2nd Infantry Division and ROK (Republic Of Korea) Army Mounted Operation Paul Bunyan, movin We/Us most of Our Force just South of the Imjin River by Panmunjom, while 1st/9th Infantry 2nd ID and Our 2nd ID Engineers moved into Panmunjom and cut that Tree Down and now on that Spot Sit's a Monument to Mark that Day and to Remember Those Two American Officers in Our 2nd Infantry Division History !
